SUI Up 54% Over Four Weeks, AVAX Up 49.7%, Both Outpacing Bitcoin and Ether

Crypto News reported that SUI gained about 54% over the four weeks through Oct. 10, 2026, trading at roughly $1.11 at 6:50 p.m. ET against $0.7218 at 6 p.m. ET on Sept. 12 in CoinGecko's price series. A second Crypto News report, syndicated the next morning, put AVAX up 49.7% over the 28 days to Oct. 11, 2026, from $7.29 at 7 p.m. ET on Sept. 13 to $10.91. For comparison, the SUI report cited The Defiant's figures of a 7.3% bitcoin gain and a 0.8% ether decline over roughly the same window, while the AVAX report cited a 9% bitcoin gain and a 2.3% ether rise for its window ending a day later. Both tokens gave back ground in the final week, though Crypto News gave a number only for AVAX, which fell 1.7% against declines of 3.3% for bitcoin and 7.3% for ether. The SUI report also cited DefiLlama snapshots showing Sui's DeFi total value locked up from $458.2 million to $529.1 million and stablecoins on the network from $473.5 million to $500.9 million between Sept. 12 and Oct. 10, and said the liquidity growth does not show what drove the price. In the AVAX report, 36 of 45 non-stablecoin assets on The Defiant's watchlist were up over the 24 hours to Oct. 11, though Crypto News noted that basket is selected rather than a measure of the whole market.
