Ethereum holds the 2400 USD demand zone after sweeping below it, recovery capped below resistance
Ethereum holds the 2400 USD demand zone after a sweep below it, trading near 2450 USD as a negative Coinbase premium shows weak US demand.
Why it matters
The zone where buyers absorbed two rounds of selling is the level that decides whether ETH keeps its recovery structure or slides into a deeper correction, and the only outlet covering it changed its own level reading between reports. A Coinbase Premium Index at its deepest negative reading in months means the bounce is not being confirmed by US buying. No other outlet in this file corroborates either picture.

What happened
Ethereum spent mid-October defending a demand zone around 2400 USD. CryptoPotato reported on Oct. 14 that ETH was stabilizing near 2500 USD after a decline from about 2800 USD pushed it below the midpoint of its ascending channel, and that two pronounced lower wicks into the zone showed buyers responding to selling pressure. In its Oct. 16 update, CryptoPotato said ETH had swept below 2400 USD toward roughly 2300 USD in the previous session before recovering back above the zone and trading near 2450 USD. The same report said the Coinbase Premium Index had dropped to its deepest negative reading in months, which CryptoPotato read as weak US-based demand despite the bounce. Both updates come from CryptoPotato and draw the demand zone differently, one as a 2360-2460 USD band and one as a single 2400 USD level, and they also give different recovery levels two days apart. The third article in the file, from Crypto.News, covers Pi Network and says nothing about the Ethereum move.
